The YF-S201 Water Flow Sensor is a compact, turbine-based flow meter designed for accurate measurement and detection of water flow in a variety of applications. It generates a pulse output as the internal rotor spins, allowing easy integration with microcontrollers and embedded systems for real-time flow monitoring.

How it Works

Liquid passes through the sensor and turns the internal turbine rotor. Each rotation produces an electronic pulse. Counting these pulses over time provides a pulse frequency that can be converted into flow rate using a calibration constant.
