Key Protections and How They Work

  • Overcharge Protection: Cuts off charging when individual cell voltage approaches the safe threshold (around 4.25 ±0.05V per cell) to prevent overheating and cell damage.
  • Over-discharge Protection: Disconnects output when cell voltage drops below safe limits (around 2.7 ±0.1V per cell) to preserve capacity and lifespan.
  • Overcurrent and Short-Circuit Protection: Detects sudden current surges and short circuits, shutting down the output. Typical overcurrent threshold is around 12A for protection events.
