Price range: ₨ 5,400 through ₨ 11,200

The Self Balancing Robot Car Chassis Kit using DC Gear Motors is a robust two-wheel robotic platform designed for building self-balancing robots, educational robotics projects, PID control systems, and autonomous robotic vehicles. The chassis is designed around JGA25-370 280RPM DC geared motors and 65mm blue robot wheels, providing a larger and more stable platform compared with smaller self-balancing robot chassis.

The kit is available in two variants: Complete Kit with Hardware and Basic Chassis Kit without Electronics. The complete version provides the main electronic and mechanical components required to build a self-balancing robot, including an Arduino Nano, 12V LiPo battery, L298N motor driver, MPU6050 sensor, medium breadboard, jumper wires, JGA25-370 geared motors, 65mm wheels, acrylic chassis, spacers, and mounting hardware.

The basic version is intended for users who already have their own electronics and includes only the acrylic chassis, spacers, JGA25-370 DC geared motors, 65mm blue wheels, and mounting hardware.

Working Principle

A self-balancing robot uses an MPU6050 accelerometer and gyroscope to continuously measure the robot’s tilt angle and angular movement.

The Arduino Nano processes the sensor information and determines whether the robot is leaning forward or backward. It then calculates the required motor correction and sends control signals to the L298N motor driver.

The L298N controls the direction and speed of the two JGA25-370 geared motors.

For example:

  • Robot leaning forward: Motors move forward to bring the wheels underneath the robot.
  • Robot leaning backward: Motors move backward to correct the tilt.
  • Robot approximately upright: Motor speed is continuously adjusted to maintain balance.

A PID control algorithm can be implemented in the Arduino Nano to continuously calculate the correction required from the measured tilt angle. The 65mm wheels provide a larger contact surface and help create a stable mechanical platform for the balancing system.
