Working Principle

A self-balancing robot uses an MPU6050 accelerometer and gyroscope to continuously measure the robot’s orientation and movement.

The Arduino UNO processes the sensor data and determines whether the robot is leaning forward or backward. It then sends appropriate control signals to the L298N motor driver, which controls the two TT geared motors.

When the robot begins to fall forward, the motors rotate forward to move the wheels underneath the robot and restore its balance. Similarly, when the robot leans backward, the motors rotate in the opposite direction.

This process is repeated continuously using a suitable balancing control algorithm, such as a PID controller, allowing the robot to remain upright.
