Working Principle

The sensor emits a modulated infrared beam. When an object comes within the set range, the IR light reflects back and is detected by the receiver, triggering the output signal.

  • Object detected → Output changes (HIGH/LOW)
  • No object → Default output state

This design allows the sensor to detect both transparent and opaque objects effectively.
