Technical Working and Protection Details
Overcharge and Over-discharge
The module monitors each cell and will stop charging any time a single cell reaches the overcharge threshold (~4.25V). For discharge protection, the BMS disconnects the output when any cell drops below the over-discharge threshold (~2.7V) to prevent deep discharge damage.
Overcurrent and Short-Circuit
Built-in overcurrent and short-circuit detection provide immediate cutoff in fault conditions. The BMS supports peak currents up to roughly 25–30A before activating protection, and it will automatically attempt recovery once currents and voltages return to safe ranges.
Cell Balancing
Onboard balancing equalizes voltage differences between the three cells during charging, reducing stress on higher-voltage cells and improving overall pack performance and cycle life.
Automatic Recovery
After a protective shutdown (for example, due to a short or overcurrent event), the BMS will automatically restore normal operation when voltages and currents are back within safe limits.

Installation, Wiring and Best Practices
- Always connect cells in series correctly: B- (pack negative), B1 (cell1/2 junction), B2 (cell2/3 junction), B+ (pack positive).
- Use appropriate gauge wires and secure solder joints to handle 20A continuous currents safely.
- Charge with a CC/CV lithium charger set for 12.6V output and appropriate current limit for your pack capacity.
- Ensure good ventilation and avoid mounting near heat sources; maintain operating temperature -20°C to +60°C.
- Test with a fuse or temporary current-limited supply when first powering a newly assembled pack.
Safety Notes
- Not a replacement for proper cell handling and safe charging practices; always follow battery manufacturer guidelines.
- Do not exceed continuous or peak current ratings; sustained overcurrent may damage the BMS or cells.
- Inspect connections regularly for corrosion, loose joints, or heat signs.
- Keep module away from moisture and conductive debris.
Support and Compatibility
This BMS is compatible with most 3S Li-Ion and Li-Po packs and standard CC/CV chargers. For technical questions, wiring diagrams, or bulk orders, contact support or consult the product datasheet and wiring guides.
